The Wintergale family crest is a golden shield with the head of a Cŵn Annwn with golden eyes ond red background. It is approximately 900 years old.

The Wintergale family is one of the oldest families within the magic society and is believed to be related to Merlin Ambrosius himself.

Having dedicated themselves to protecting the magic society from dark magic, the Wintergales have served as Wardens for over 30 generations. This makes theirs the oldest tradition within the Order.

During the centuries, the Wintergales developed their own means of training. Their values are instilled on children of the family from the moment of their birth.

The Wintergale family operated several hidden vaults, which were deeply hidden places, hiding dangerous magic artifacts.

Members of the Wintergale family can be recognized by their telltale silver-white hair and golden eyes, a result of their long and frequent exposure to powerful magic.

After the events of Winter's Treachery, the family dispersed and the members went into hiding.
