Carminexus
Some spells (primarily charms and hexes) create a sort of connection between the user's wand and the object that is being influenced. This indicates the object still being controlled by the wand. The caster can feel this like some sort of vibration. This is called "Carminexus" (from the Latin words "carminis" for "spell" or "enchantment", and "nexus", meaning "tether".
The Carminexus (also called spell-tether) can be maintained through walls, but this is more difficult. It's best to keep the object that is being manipulated in sight. If the line of sight is broken, maintaining the tether is much more difficult.
Note that touching an object or person connected via carminexus is not recommended. This will result in a feedback which can be quite painful, similar to an electric shock. The strength of that shock depends on the strength of the connection. However, even a weak carminexus will cause numbness and later a strong sensation of pins and needles as the numbness subsides.
