Hereditary Magic Terms and Definitions: Difference between revisions

While in Western magical culture, [[Tunge]] terms were established to refer to magical and non-magical people, these terms are not used in other places in the world. Also, some  people consider these terms derogatory. Terms such as "Ʒlœbigen" or "Vurþels" indeed may have a negative connotation.

Derived from "blunt", meaning dull, lacking sharpness or intensity, it implies the Mundanes' lack of sharpnes, power or intensity of magic abilities that Magi possess and emphasizes their non-magical nature, expresing a sense of inferiority compared to those with magic abilities.

Some of the more conservative and traditional families tend to consider Dormants shameful and treat them accordingly. Because of this, many Dormants decide to live in the Mundane world instead. Blood status or blood purity refers to a family's exposure to non-magic blood. Some families are very proud of their blood purity and do not accept any "tainting" influence through impure blood. However, this can lead to some undesire side effects caused by inbreeding. In this day and age, such views have become relatively uncommon and are considered antiquated and outdated.
