Somnifero

Difficulty: advanced

Etymology: "somni-" from lat. somnus ("sleep"), "fero" from lat. ferre ("to bring")

Effect: Makes the target fall into a deep slumber. The spell is advanced as it is difficult to put the correct amount of energy into the spell. Too little and the target will only feel tired, too much and the target's body will shut down and they won't wake up anymore.

Note that the sleep induced by Somnifero is dreamless and not very restful, which is why it is not useful in case of insomnia.
